Job Title:   Green Banking Officer

Grade:  Manager - Senior Manager

Location: Karachi          

Minimum Education:  Graduate in Environmental Sciences

Minimum Requirement:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and evaluation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementation of the Green Banking Policy and Environmental & Social Risk Management (ESRM).
• Ensure effectiveness of the Green Banking governance structure in close liaison with all the stakeholders of the Bank.
• Co-ordinate with stakeholders to ensure that risk management procedures are designed and implemented to mitigate and monitor environmental and social risks arising from operations of a business to which the bank is lending / providing financing.
• Establish and facilitate other functions/ departments in development of Green Banking strategies, targets and budgets.
• Liaising and coordinating with Green Business Officers for development of green products.
• Ensure coordination with Green Operations Officer for potential re-engineering of internal operations and procedures with a view to reduce impact on environment.
• Compile and analyze data regarding Environmental & Social Risk Management System for Management and Regulatory Reporting.
• Develop and implement Internal Capacity Building Plan.
